Xu Haiqun has spent more than a decade in the automotive parts industry. Traveling from market to market, he often drove through rain and fog, where poor lighting quickly became more than an inconvenience.
He repeatedly saw low-quality LED lights scatter harsh glare into oncoming traffic. He saw lamps leak water after washing or wading, then fade quickly and lose brightness. Behind every failed light was a driver taking unnecessary risk at night.
The market was divided in a way that felt unfair. Affordable lights were often roughly made, with unstable beams, weak sealing, and short service life. Better branded lights existed, but many drivers and distributors could not afford them at scale.
That contradiction shaped the earliest idea behind HAIZG: build automotive LED lights that are safe, durable, and accessible, without forcing customers to choose between price and responsibility.
In the early stage, capital was limited and optical tuning failed again and again. Beam structure, driver stability, heat control, and waterproof sealing all demanded repeated testing before a product could be trusted.
Xu Haiqun followed each test personally. When cutting materials could have reduced cost, he refused. When the market pushed price wars, he chose product discipline instead. HAIZG was built on that refusal to compromise.
The character “Hai” in Xu Haiqun’s name also means sea. HAIZG carries the meaning of Light of the Sea and The Pledge of Light.
